Rural Tourism in Costa Rica with the Santa Fe Women's Group

Santa Fe de Guatuso is always planning community activities which capture the local flavor of rural Costa Rica, yet always welcomes people from elsewhere. Choose an activity from the calendar around which you can plan your visit to Santa Fe.

November 3th, 4th, & 5th—San Martin Civic Festival with soccer games, bull riding and other rodeo events, horseback riding, and cumbia dances every night.
December 16th—Santa Fe Christmas Party with gift-giving, bingo, Christmas carols, and a dance with DJ.
February 1st (2007)—Start of classes in Santa Fe's new Colegio Telesecundaria.
February 2nd (2007)—International Wetlands Day event in Santa Fe with guest speakers on wetlands education and appreciation and a trip to the Santa Fe Wetlands to plant trees.
March 8th (2007)—International Women's Day celebration. Speakers and events to be determined at a later date.
April 27th-30th (2007)—Summer Festival in Santa Fe. Four days of all-day celebration with dances, soccer games, and rodeos every day. This celebration is a fun way of capturing the essence of the Northern Zone of Costa Rica.
