Rio Celeste Tour in Costa Rica

Rio Celeste Guided Tour

Rio Celeste Tour JAZON (Jóvenes Agricultores de la Zona Norte or Young Farmers of the Northern Zone), an organization of rural youth in Northern Costa Rica, includes a tour of Rio Celeste in its rural tourism initiative to provide supplement income to rural Costa Rican families.

The tour includes a entrance to the Tenorio Volcano National Park, followed by a hike through lush tropical forest accompanied by a local bilingual guide who can help spot interesting flora and fauna of Costa Rica. During the tour you will be able to soak in natural hot springs baths, swim beside the magnificent Rio Celeste Waterfall, and marvel at the changing colors of the magical Rio Celeste. The tour, three hours in all, also includes lunch.

Rio Celeste Tour The prices of the tour are quite reasonable. From the community of Rio Celeste the tour only costs $25 per person (minimum of four people). Transportation from La Fortuna can be provided at an additional charge. If you have your own transportation, a guide from JAZON can accompany your group for the same $25 per person charge. If you are a large group of 10+ persons, a trip can be arranged with transportation from La Fortuna for $35 per person or $30 for citizens/residents. (The lower price for citizens and residents is a result of lower admission fee at national parks in Costa Rica)

Contact JAZON at info@costaricaruraltours.com or call them at (506) 479-70-62 to make reservations. Either way, visit their website, CostaRicaRuralTours.com to see other services they offer.
